As I sit back and think about the year of 2020 it was everything I expected! It was definitely MY year! The fact that I can say this is true in the most of the pandemic is a blessing in it self. Someone, I don’t recall where I heard this, said God had this happen to wake up a lot of us, he wanted us to slow down and gain control and re-shift our focus. The one thing I gained more appreciation for was my job... the job I decided I would make a career of. Sometimes we focus so much on what we don’t have instead of the blessings we do have. I took it upon myself to write all the things/people I am grateful for and the things I accomplished. This isn’t to boast but to show you all that there is always a positive in a situation no matter how negative it may appear as a whole. While we are all approaching a new year let’s focus more on the positives than the negatives. A positive mind produces positive actions and rewards, bigger lessons.

Positives:

-Paid off Car Note

-Started braiding hair for extra income

-Began investing in stocks

-Started Blogging

-Started Journaling

-Moved into a better apartment and area

-Credit Score Improved from 400’s to 600’s

-Completed my BA in Crimina Justice

-New Relationship

-Lost 25 pounds in 3 months and KEPT it off

-Realized I needed therapy and Started therapy for myself

-Moved to second shift

-New meditation method;baths

-Gained a closer relationship with God

Negative:

My grandmother catching COVID-19 and the breakdown of the thought that I could be losing her.

....

I honestly only have ONE negative I can think of. And in result, it taught me not to take her for granted. (Although, I never took her for granted, but it made me appreciate and show her how much I loved her even more. (Again a positive in a negative situation)
